Allegiance Specialty Hospital is a 40 bed Long Term Acute Care Hospital (LTACH) specializing in extended hospital stays for the medically complex. Patients too ill for discharge to a nursing facility or their homes require a specialized setting for optimal recovery. Allegiance Specialty Hospital has expanded their services to better care for the high acuity of their patients. “We have undergone a lot of recent changes with the closing of Southwest Regional Medical Center, but have come through the changes better equipped to serve our patients”, said Tammy Pace, Administrator. They have added in-house respiratory and radiology departments and have recruited a group of highly respected physicians who have implemented a Critical Care Program. “Our Critical Care Program ensures continuity of care to all of our patients and round the clock coverage of their complex medical needs”, said Pace. “We strive to provide the expertise of a large hospital with the personalized attention of a small hospital.” With the many changes, Allegiance has seen an improvement in patient satisfaction scores that any hospital would be proud of. “It shows us that our hard work is paying off.”
In addition to expanding services, Allegiance kicked off their new customer service initiative “We C.A.R.E.” According to Pace, “The program will help members of our team become even better at what they already do well - care for people. Allegiance is committed to providing quality care as well as comfort and convenience to patients and families. We continue to score well above average in patient satisfaction, but must always be looking for ways to improve.”
